Raku Day

some images of the raku day,the weather stayed on our side and with the help of the little wood kiln we got through quite a few firings.

Little wood fired raku kiln,was a great success,reaching 1000 degrees in 40 mins in first firing.

Each firing after took just half an hour.

It truly fired like a rocket.

raw glazing

these pieces are by pam which i fired this week on a raw profile, that is at a bisque rate then through to cone 6 all in the one firing.

there's a couple that have cracked in some interesting ways but overall a good success rate and with some lustre decoration these pieces will be lovely..

Monday Group held a bon voyage lunch for Sandy at an Italian restaurant at Tea Tree Plus.

howdy crew, a little adventure is starting on tuesday night, and upcoming 30th anniversary celebrations workshop with kevin.....oooh i wonder what it could be about....something sculptural!  keep ya posted the workshop is tuesday night the 5th May $5 each all profits to the club....
